Commercial Change of Use from D1 to A2 (Office) & A3 (Hot Food Takeaway) in Longsight, Manchester
The client requirements were to change the use of the ground floor accommodation and create a high-end restaurant on this prominent corner location in Longsight. This consisted of a single storey side extension to create additional floor area for customer seating and a commercial open plan kitchen. The client also wanted to maximise the amount of glazing on the ground floor to attract customers to the restaurant. We proposed a powder coated aluminium framed glazing system which offers a high end aesthetic to the frontage compared to other materials.
The upper levels will retain separate access to provide regular office accommodation with WC facilities for lettings purposes.
The planning application has been submitted and we expect a decision during August 2012.
