Full Planning Application for a Cycle Speedway Track in Sheffield

This was a very interesting and unusual project where the client required upgraded facilities for a well used cycle speedway facility. The site benefited from no facilities other than a speedway track. We designed tiered seating around the perimeter for 150 spectators with a cycle pits shelter for cyclists, floodlighting and a drainage system to eliminate ponding on the site.
The proposal was welcomed by the local authority and was granted planning consent in September 2010. The client is looking to progress works on site during Summer 2011.
