Single Storey Rear House Extensions in Sheffield (Stannington)
It may not necessarily appear this way, but this was actually a very complicated project due to the fact that there was a covenant in the neighbours title deeds for a right to light. We instructed a Right to Light surveyor who produced calculations using our detailed drawings to ensure we did on encroach into the existing light enjoyed by the neighbours with the design of the extension for our client.
We finally achieved a solution which was carefully controlled and managed by our recommended builders who built the extension for our client. The clients' preference was to build a full two storey side extension but our proposed mezzanine option solved the problems.
The photos show the finished project which demonstrate the stone specially sourced to match with the existing building. Some existing stone was recycled and re-used by our recommended builder which is not noticeable at all. Majority of the recycled stone was used to rebuild the front of the side extension.
